Before Starting Anything in "website guide" I would like to move on with the basic things.The very first basic question is "What Is A Website?". According to Wikipedia :-"A website is a collection of related web pages, images, videos or other digital assets that are addressed relative to a common Uniform Resource Locator (URL), often consisting of only the domain name, or the IP address, and the root path ('/') in an Internet Protocol-based network. A web site is hosted on at least one web server, accessible via a network such as the Internet or a private local area network."
Okay enough with that but that does not give answer to your question.Like "What Is The Need Of website?" "Why Build website" Does it? Okay lets see some facts.
- Google was Founded on august 19,2004.Last year Google's Revenue was 23.651 Billion Dollars.
- Yahoo was founded on 1994.Last year yahoo's revenue was 6.46 Billion Dollars.
Is that data fascinating to you? No? Well, You will say these are big companies,Have thousand of employees So these figures aren't that fascinating.
Okay Now I want to know, have you ever Heard of Plentyoffish.com (Plenty of Fish).It was Founded On 2003 and last year its revenue was 10 Million Dollars. Are you Now thinking to create a website? Fascinating Fact:- This website was run by a single person (Markus Frind) till 2007 and currently(2010) it has only 3 Key persons. So how about a share in 10 million dollars. Huh?
